A multiscale and multifunction Cascade Catalytic Fast Pyrolysis of lignocellulose for the production of gasoline- diesel range fuel for transportation section

CCFP

Pyrolysis of biomass has emerged as a promising routine to get cost-effective renewable fuel for the transportation section application. The main challenge of this process today is to generate a desirable bio-oil quality with a higher carbon conversions rate which can be used as drop-in fuel for the transportation sector. In this project, a novel and feasible process basing on a multiscale and multi-function Cascade catalyst solution for the production of gasoline-diesel range fuel for transportation section is to be developed. Catalyst used in this process will be screened and tested firstly in lab bench scale reactor, then following by a continuous fluidized bed reactor. Regeneration performance of the catalyst will be also assessed. Finally, a a multiscale and multi-function cascade catalytic system for an industrialization will be proposed.
